Jorge Posada and Bernie Williams belong in the Hall of Fame

Both downgraded statistically (without merit) for their defense. As pointed out before, the entire Yankees defense up the middle from that era was viewed statistically as the worst in MLB, yet they won every year, Their defense was downgraded there simply due to not having as many balls hit to them compared to many league peers...so just based on luck...because the defensive measurements have a very very low level of validity.

Offensively:

Posada lifetime 121 OPS+, higher than Ted Simmons(118), Fisk(117), Gary Carter(115), Irod(106).

Bernie Williams lifetime 125 OPS+, higher than Puckett(124), Dawson(119 and he was RF too), Ashburn(111).

Why is post season recognition for HOF awarded to some players like Jack Morris, but ignored for multiple champions like Posada and Williams?

Does Jim Edmonds (132), Lynn(129), McCuctchen(128), Burks(126), as 'outsider CF' make it tougher to make the. case for Bernie Williams?

Is Posada the biggest snub thus far?

Posada should probably be in. Bernie I’m not sure but I enjoyed watching him play.
My top choice for being in is Will Clark. 137 ops+. He got penalized because he didn’t stick around for his old man years to pad his lifetime stats. Retired at the top of his game at 36 years old.
Also Edmonds should be in. I got to see him play in St. Louis and he was amazing defensively. Made several great plays in the outfield in just the few games I saw.

Williams never felt like a HOF to me. Very good player but...

Jim Edmonds and Albert Belle are both much more worthy.

Both class acts, I'd be fine with them both in
