Howdy folks.
I haven't sold on ebay for a number of years so perhaps I am way behind the curve, but someone I interacted with on ebay recently sent me a message that started, in part-
"We noticed that you've been using your account in a questionable manner. To understand this better, we just need information from you.
To ensure that your remains secure, we need you take action on your account. We've also temporarily limited certain features in your account."
I seem to recall other folks have received a similar message, but I'm not the most optimistic that the search feature will find the results. If you have received this message, might you please share what you needed to do or point me to the discussion? Thank you!

It almost seems like it's a scam to get your information
I just tried to buy a coin and the seller had me blocked! Never done biz with them before but who knows, I;ve been a member for 22 years so maybe..........
Good luck but be careful

Thank you, but it's not my account. It belongs to someone else and I am attempting to help him.

Hopefully one of the Ebay guys on here will respond and help you out

Is that copied exactly as it appears? If so, I would agree that it seems like a scam to get info out of the recipient. There are missing words and the grammar isn't quite correct.
If it's from eBay, it will be in their ebay message box on the ebay website.
I'll send him these questions.
Regardless, does anyone know how to contact a person at ebay either through a phone number or ebay message/email? Thank you.

Every email received has the senders addressed attached. Find it and you may have the answer. The ones I've researched normally come from an unrecognizable address and obviously not from the entity I do business with.

There is "contact us" listed under the help center which can be found in the left column near or at the bottom I believe.

If there is not a message in their inbox from ebay good chance it's a phishing scam.
Best way to get in touch with a person at eBay is to reach out via DM on FB or Twitter.
He wants to contact an eBay rep, not a buyer or seller.

Scam to get your information. Delete the message and move on. I get these scam e-mails all the time.

Yes and the best way to do that is here:
Twitter.com/askebay
Facebook.com/ebay
This is the best way to contact a real person at eBay as a buyer or seller unless eBay assigns you a dedicated rep due to your volume.
Thank you.

scroll to the bottom of an eBay page - hit the link that says Help & Contact
scroll to the bottom of that page and hit in the box below where it says Need More Help?
You might get eBay’s attention if you forward the message to spoof@ebay.com (this needs to be done from an email client, not eBay messages, so I’m assuming your friend is set up to have their messages also go to email). While that address is really intended to confirm if an email purportedly from eBay is legit, maybe it can help here. On the other hand, if it’s automated, it may just say that yes the email came from an eBay source and ignore the content.
At the very least, as has been stated already, if someone just sent a message through eBay messages, it’s a scam and should not be replied to.
