I have a 1986 P Washington Quater. The Nickel has flaked off the reverse side. The planchet looks like gold. Can anybody give me some

information on this coin

    Welcome to the forum. Looks to be just some kind of goldish colored coating on the coin that is partially worn off. Could be paint, yellowed varnish, who knows.

    Yep, still some kind of coating, you can see how it is flaking off.
