Crust VF30 1826 Half (My grade could be VF35)

I got this half off of ebay in the 90's. It is original but I can tell there is ~150 years of dirt on her. She has been sitting in a 2x2 for 30 years and I want to get her in plastic so my heirs know what they have. IT is like a $250 coin. I was thinking of an acetone bath to remove the crud of 200 years from the devices.
What is your council?

I recommend that you post images. 😉
Edited to add: But even as a VF35, its value would be about $150, not $250.

So basically who cares. I have the pics on my phone so it is a pita to get them to my computer to give a pic url. She is orig so I don't want a BB or details grade.
I went ahead and did it and for the most part I can't tell the delta. I suppose more shine. the gunk removed from the denticals but the coin looks nicer but the same.
Glad to hear it worked out

fyi I use this forum mostly from my phone and post images from the phone so I don't have to email myself and post from the pc.
Leave the coin as it is... if you don't like it just sell it to buy something that meets your expectations
