Justin Tucker and Patrick Mahomes made Pro Bowl?

DarinDarin Posts: 7,211 ✭✭✭✭✭

Tucker making it is a joke. He’s one of the worst AFC kickers this year. Harrison Butker and several others were much better.
Butker 5-5 over 50 yards with a long of 60.
Tucker 1-5 over 50 yards with a long of 50.
And Tucker wasn’t any better than Butker inside 50 yards. Also Cleveland’s kicker was much better. Tucker wins on reputation alone.

Same as Mahomes. I love the guy but he shouldn’t be on the pro bowl roster this year.
His receivers suck but he had plenty of interceptions and fumbles that were all his fault.

Dustin Hopkins for the Browns was 8-8 over 50 yards, Tucker was 1-5.
What is going on, who votes and don’t they look at stats?

I'm glad no Patriots made it, after such a poor showing this year they all should be ashamed of themselves.

I didn't know Tucker was having an off year, I always just assume he is automatic

As far as Mahomes goes, It's admirable that @Darin is keeping it real with his favorite team and QB but as an impartial fan I think Mahomes carried this team to the playoffs without a great supporting cast so I'm ok with him making it

NFL pro-bowl selections used to be made by the players, now they're made by fans, players and coaches.

Not upset Josh Allen didn’t make it. He only leads the NFL in touchdowns, but I digress.
Ed Oliver is having a pro bowl year at DE. Definitely an over sight.

Tua starting QB is funny though after they got smoked by Baltimore and Jackson had a 158 rating, but ok, whatever

Both Tucker and Mahomes made it in based on reputation. I also didnt realize tucker was that bad this year. Butker deserved the nod much more.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

I could ramble on for days about Patrick's Non-Supporting Cast...so I'm gonna shut up...Trust me; my bank lady knows, the lady at the gas station knows, the people in the post office knows, and maybe a few people in the grocery store knows -- my thoughts are: if I bitch & complain to those people; at least I won't get kicked off the forum here... :)

Actually I think the defense bailed out the Chiefs several times this year. They had more to do with the wins than Mahomes.

The defense gave up 20 points or less in 12 out of 16 games and KC lost two of those games because Mahomes and the offense couldn’t score more than twenty.
So without the defense playing great the chiefs would have no doubt had a losing record.

    Allen 27-14 15 rushing TD’s 10-6 record
    Mahomes 27-12 0 rushing TD’s 10-6 record
Allen not only leads the conference in total touchdowns but the entire league
Allen beat Mahomes in Kansas City head to head.
Pro bowl is a friggin joke

the pro bowl is meaningless, it's inconsequential, and it sucks

now that that's out of the way, questions to ponder

i wonder who would win in a game of tetris between marquez valdes-scantling and kadarius toney ?

has bill belichick ever played tetris ?

has taylor swift ever played tetris ?

does groceryrackpack own a factory sealed game boy w/ tetris ?

you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet

The Pro Bowl does not lend itself well to the brutal game of NFL football. Now with 17 regular season games, the season is already obviously too long. The human body simply didn't evolve for this sort of abuse, which in my opinion is one reason, perhaps the main reason, for the erratic play in the NFL this season.

The Pro Bowl should be just an awards ceremony, and I don't think anyone would basically dislike that. Except for NFL owners who wish to squeeze every last possible dollar out of their franchise, never mind anything else.

MVS and Toney would both drop the joystick then Toney would pull a hamstring picking his up while simultaneously fumbling it right into MVS’s arms. So Scantling wins by default.

i agree, Allen has definitely been the more impactful player this year.

isnt the pro bowl basically just a glorified skills competition now? I heard there are different competitions for different position groups, and they even have one for offensive linemen this year.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

I think Tucker's misses were 2-3 from 60+. They don't show the 60+ stat. He is fantastic. Did he have the best year...NO; but a really good year.
