Special Registry Shout out to Winesteven...sort of

Just completed my 12 coin gold type CAC set and ended up with an 8 ranking. Just 1 spot above me is @winesteven at rank 7. So first thought that came to mind is I have to upgrade to overtake the infamous @winesteven. Although I do not know him personally, his fame among the forum members is second to none. So after spending 30 minutes in the "what if" function and computing the amount of money it would take to accomplish this feat, it became painfully obvious that I need to raise the white flag and rank 8 is where I will make my stand. Following are a couple of coins from my 8th ranked set. MY highest graded coin is a 66plus type saint, but these would be my 2 favorites.

Congratulations! Your set is fantastic, and you should be VERY proud! I had an advantage, in that I put my set together mainly from 2017 - 2020, when the market pricing of these coins and the differential for CAC stickered coins were a lot less than today! If I were putting my set together today, the coins I’d be buying would be lower grades than I have now.

Sad news - it looks like Saluda just passed you.

Like you, I decide how much I feel comfortable spending on particular coins, and wherever I land is perfectly fine. I don’t spend money on upgrades for the main purpose of moving up in rank.

Take pleasure from having a beautiful set!

    Steve

Thanks for the kind words, I agree 100% with all your comments. As far as Saluda...hmmmm! :)

Very great accomplishment and I like both of your coins posted as well. I’m two coins away from completing myself although I didn’t do the CAC set.

I look forward to seeing your set upon completion, which 2 coins are you missing ? The type 2 dollar was the toughest coin for me to find. Ended up settling for a 62, but still a decent looking dollar. It's too small to see the defects anyhow!

Hey, a Type 2 Gold Dollar is very tough. Your MS62 is not settling at all. Especially since so few of the very few in that grade merit a CAC sticker! Be proud of that coin!

How about you open your set up for viewing? Now that it's complete.
Congrats on the set, I have the low budget set, the Everyman Mint 12 piece gold.
    Edited to add:
I do have this set, but I still need 5 coins, I'm at #31,

Some time back I got a little paranoid about having all the certs open for public viewing do to counterfeiters using actual cert #s, although i do post slabs sometimes on this forum, like the two on this post. I created the digital album to show the coins with their respective grades so the public can see them. Please let me know if you are also blocked from viewing the digital album; I was under the assumption that is was visible although the set was marked private.

Yes, your Digital Album is visible to others. That's how i saw it when I made my initial comment near the top of this thread.

Perhaps @alaura22' s point was that if the set is made visible, we can see YOUR comments and other photos you may have uploaded for each coin (other than the photos in your lovely album).

Thanks for the confirmation! The funny thing is when you zoom on the coins you can see the entire TrueView along with cert #s. At least it took an extra step to see the certs, LOL. At then end of the day no big deal anyhow.

If/When I finish my set I will only be at #13, right now it's a low priority. A far cry from the set you and Steve have built
    Congrats again
