Satchel Paige TOPPS 220 double signature

I have been asked to sell a long time collector's sports memorabilia collection. I have a few cards, mostly photos and autographs and some cuts. This Satchel Paige interests me...I am quite sure it is authentic, but will probably need to send it to PSA or ??? It isn't the best condition, but the double signature and story behind it is interesting. Does anyone have an opinion on what they would do with this card? Thank you.

If the pen died on the first sig, maybe he just redid it with a new pen. If you want to maximize your profit, I'd absolutely send it to PSA or SGC to get the auto authenticated. IMO I'd even get the card graded, even as authentic for those that want it for their registry.

  • Thank you for your response. I am thinking of using Beckett services and you're right, it is a good idea to get the card authenticated. If it is a legit card and signature, should I have it encapsulated? What are the benefits?
