    I appears to be tiny gas bubbles trapped under the outer layer. Peace Roy

    You have 2015 cent minted in Philadelphia with several plating bubbles.
    Not unusual with zincoins.

    It looks like a small D to me under the date, not a bubble.

    There's no such thing. The D is on the hub. They are all the same size. A bubble that collapsed in the middle "looks like" a "D".
