My last addition for 2023.....paid $20...did I get my money's worth?

Well....She's a rim bump and a rim nick away from going off to the slab factory. This 1843 Petite Head/ Large Letters felt good in my hand and will be a nice stress reliever between my fingers as I hunt for her slabbed sister. I think she was well worth the $20. What do you think?

I'd say
I guess 20$ was good - looks like a VG coin but why put it in a slab?

Can you imagine what a 180 year old zinc would look like? Yes, I'd say you scored![:D :D](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/lol.png)
Nice pick-up at a great price. For a lower grade coin that's 180 years old, the grading services may give it a straight grade even with those minor rim issues but it's not worth the cost of getting it slabbed. Enjoy it as a cool raw coin.![B) B)](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/sunglasses.png)

He’s not….it’s a filler/placeholder until he gets a better one that will be slabbed.
And yes, well worth $20. Tough die pairing in all grades.
My own example is a raw VF 30+ that fell into my lap from a Sheet dealer who didn’t bother checking even the major Redbook varieties.
