    I've never heard of any licensed bookie taking these bets. Perhaps some do, I'm not sure. I doubt if it's legal.

    However there are local type, independent bookies who will take action on almost anything. If he did take action on a high school game, he would likely cap the betting at say $100, and only for his best customers.

    If he's beating you for say 5k for the year, and you wanna bet your local high school team, the bookie is thinking that who cares if I give a $100 "gift" to this player. The bookie is gonna get back the money soon enough anyway.

    It would be too easy to fix games which will keep legitimate casinos from doing it. If they ever did do it I would suspect it will be extremely limited and only include the programs like IMG that operate like a college and everyone on the roster is going D1

    yes I did wager quite frequently while I was H.S......um back then that was my cash for cards.... :)
