OT Cats On A Coin Forum π π± πΎ π
What is it with cats on this forum? I have zero use for cats in my life! I'm an animal lover, I have a dog. But man, cats??
I have a feeling discussing the pros and cons of cats here will be like discussing politics. Should probably be avoided at all cost. I know I'll probably be added to the: Dumb as "cat" sh#t π© list. Can't you guys go find a cat forum to play on?? π€£ With all the cat avatars and posts, I feel like an outlier. Am I the only one?
The cat lovers I've come across over the years are fanatical! They will chew you up and spit you out!
I'll also go out on a limb here and say; most all you cat owners have more then one cat.......am I right??
I know cats are a part of your families and I'm sure they make good pets. But I'll tell you, I've heard some horrific cat stories over the years.
Here are some of my personal favorites: Neighbors cats using the mulch around my house as a litter box!! π€ π€¬ Helped a friend renovate a house he bought. We had to rip out beautiful hardwood oak floors that were saturated and destroyed by cat piss!!.. and the smell?!?!.. What a disgusting project! Another "friend" (co-worker) driving me to my promotion ceremony. I was all dressed up wearing my best dark suit, he was a cat owner!%#!%#..... need I say more!!?!? π π‘ π€¬ An acquaintance friend had a beard since we were in high school. He shaved it one day. We didn't even recognize him! Holy hell Ken, you shaved your beard?!?!? Come to find out weeks later, he had to shaved it because he had fleas from his cats!!! π± π³
But here's a good cat story you cat owners/lovers will like: I lived and worked overseas for the gov't for many years. When you're assigned an overseas position, you "pack out". Everything goes with you, household goods, car, pets, wife, kids,.. everything!
An employee had finished his assignment and was preparing to returning to the States. His family was packing out. The moving tracker trailer and workers show up and start packing, (a 2 or 3 day process) depending on how much stuff you have.
They had 2 cats. And they were FAT cat!! They must have been 30 or 40lbs each! They were apparently indoor/outdoor cats. They would go out and always come back. Well, the movers showed up and the cats took off! After the movers finished, one cat never came back! The wife was FRANTIC!! And I mean she was panicking!! They were getting on a plane and leaving the country in two days. Pets travel with their owners and go in the cargo holds of the plane.
This lady was freaking out!!! She was putting up posters and pictures of this cat all over the base with a phone number to contact her in the states if the cat was found!! The entire base was looking for this stinkin' cat!! Well, they went home with only one cat.
The household goods are shipped back to the states in shipping containers. The shipments goes by sea. It can take 2 to 3 months to receive your shipment.
Ten weeks later, their shipment arrived at their house. The movers were unpacking and bringing the furniture into the house. One of the movers screamed and ran out of the truck! π π€£ He said; SOMETHING IS ALIVE IN THERE!! π€£ He thought it was a rat!! π€£ It was the cat!! The cat had climbed up and was hiding inside one of the sofas.
The grabbed the cat and rushed it to the animal hospital. No food or water for ten weeks!! They pumped it full of fluids and it lived!
And those are my cat stories. Now leave me alone with these stinkin' cats!! π€£ π€£
Take the survey so I know who to avoid... Only kidding, only kidding! I won't avoid you.
I feel better now! π

I live with a ginger cat named Elliot. there are no pictures. He would be impossible to live with if he became some kind of internet star. James
Thanks for the laugh.

Well now we know who polished off all the extra eggnog
Nothing is as expensive as free money.
Don't have any at the present time. No plans on getting one. Still like cats.
I can easily tell who the real cat fanatics are. You can see the cat hair in their coin photos! π€£

I didn't vote, as I love all animals.
That being said; I am more of a dog person.

Throw a coin enough times, and suppose one day it lands on its edge.
I can assure you thereβs been at least one Katz on the forum for more than the last 22 years
I knew a man who had 2 cats, one for 14 years and one for 15 years. His wife told me it just took him that long to get mad enough to do something about it.

I like most cats but Love our little Coco:
Well, just Love coins, period.
Guess I'm gonna have to change my avatar to a cat just to hiss you off.
I had to vote , no use.
My cat just laughed, because he knows it's true.
So we fist bumped, and we laughed out loud together.
What ?
I have no use for cats...
Except these cats:(

Does a "Catbird" count? I found him 2 summers ago as a hatchling. He sounds like a cat but doesn't piss on the carpets or scratch the furniture.

I'd probably have a cat if I weren't allergic to them. I find their balance of badassery and dumbassery endearing.

Iβm allergic and so is my daughter so we havenβt had a lot of quality interactions with cats.
Hot take: The world would be a better place if kitten grew up to be puppies in stead of cats. Kittens are cool. Cats are the devil.
I'm hoping OP meant this thread as a joke...?

They keep themselves clean. If they could only keep the house and furniture clean. π
