To PSA's credit

While PSA has huge room for various improvements at least they have never become embroiled in situation and scope such as this one;
https://boards.cgccomics.com/topic/530817-asm-252-cgc-98-record-sale-something-fishy-going-on

It's a LONG and Winding read. It's going Viral across various Social Media Platforms, only a matter of time until its full fledged scandal and picked up by mainstream newswires (or whatever their called)

Blackstone the Corporation that owns CGC typically has issues no statement or comments.

Y'all know what is said about icebergs, well this going to be the mother of all them at least in Comic Book Scandals. It's well past the point where it could have blown over.

In the Ancillary this will not help CGC Card Grading division, likley leading to a large portion of business that left PSA to use CGC to return back to PSA. Count me in as one of those.

Unless otherwise specified my posts represent only my opinion, not fact.

    It's a comic book, anyone subbing cards isn't even going to see it!

    Now I'll have to check it out. Glanced and didn't check further. Most of my comic collecting is golden age pre-60s in any case. But always interested in the latest scuttlebutt! :smile:

    When I collected comics in the 70s, I remember my run of Avengers had a mix of UPC codes and Spidey logos. It wasn't really a thing back then, but it did bother the OCD in me.

    I've never heard of the Mark's Jewelers thing before. I wonder how log the industry and CGC has been recognizing this variation. The low pop could just be because CGC just hasn't made note of it on their labels before. None of these companies know everything about the stuff they're authenticating. I wouldn't be surprised if it were just CGC creating hype.

    Recognized for a good bit. Mark Jewelers comics were either primarily or only shipped and sold newstand w/UPC code on military bases in the U.S. or some foreign U.S. bases. I've got a few Luke Cage / Power Man and Tarzan MJ's ungraded and 1 graded Captain America MJ. Kinda fun to search out and collect. :)
