A Christmas Eve NEWP from Great Collections!

I'm really excited to get this one in hand. Was hoping that the bids would remain low tonight and I was fortunate to get it at about 2/3 of my max bid! The 12D is typically not well struck and often the luster is subdued. It is often considered a sleeper in the series too! This one appears to have a much better strike (stars look complete on the obverse and the corn on the reverse appears mostly struck up) than the average coin and the wood-grain toning set it aside from the rest. Not to mention its in an old fatty holder! Ill also be looking forward to comparing the traditional GC images to the new, "Great Photo" images. Maybe Ian will even put a calendar in with it!
