1996 Penny with circles

I saw something like this one on this site not long ago but have forgotten the details. I came across this today and am wondering if it is the same thing and if so what is the name of this type of error

    Yep. Pennies should be circular. ;)

    Looks like "lathe Lines/rings". Here's an example to compare it to from an internet article.

    Without pictures we are just guessing. It could be any one of several things.
    Please post a clear photo of the area of concern plus a photo of the complete
    coin so that we can answer your question.

    Looks like it even came from the same dies as the other pictured coin. Interesting. Not particularly rare or valuable, but interesting.

    The original pic was saved as a bitmap so I converted it to JPG.

    Oh, so that's how to post it. I was able to add it to a folder but then had no luck trying to post it.
