I acquired this US Mint Christmas tree decoration a few years ago in a junk drawer lot purchase. I have never thought to hang it on the tree though. I guess I like it and don't want to chance it being destroyed. What are your thoughts and have you ever used a coin as a Christmas tree decoration. Thanks, in advance for your thought. Have a Merry Christmas

Absolutely! In 1999, I used State quarters. In 2000, I used Sac dollars and ASE's. I purchased two rolls of Eagles and I think I paid $7.35 or so each, put them in flips and hung them on the tree. Then, when it was time to go home, everyone got to take one from the tree. I was very popular with my family that year.

I used to have three, one of the eagle on a seated half, one of the eagle on a trade dollar, and one of the eagle on a Morgan dollar. I can only find the Morgan one though.
