I sent these 12 coins to NGC in late October and just got them back today. I really like the 2 Gold coins, the FEC, and the 3CN. The Morgan's are nice too. Let me know your thoughts. My cost for the12 raw coins at around $2,800 when I sent them in for grading. Thanks in advance for your thoughts

@TomB That was the approximate cost of the coins

Really weak motto on the 1934 quarter. Nice coins though indeed.

@privarecoin I sent it in as light motto, but may nit have fill out ther submission correctly or NGC thought other wise.

Can definitely see more in that picture. I still like it.

Thanks for sharing the results. Sounds like a solid win for you on the cost vs. value.

Other than the "Detailed" return. Very good results!
    Congrats

@dhikewhitney The $2700 was my approximate cost when I purchased the RAW coins. I purchased the gold coins around 18 months ago.

Nice!! Did you estimate the grades before you submitted them? If so, did they come back close to your estimates?

@OAKSTAR I did try to estimate the grade and the coins graded better than I thought, except for the 1858 D cent. I'm not very good at grading, so I usually underestimate the grade. I did not see the quarter as coming back Details - cleaned either. I had hoped that the 2 gold coins would grade better. I still came out OK as I feel that i bought the coins at great prices too.

I'm the same way but I cheat. I've compared raw coins I submit, to graded ones I already have. It actually helps me get pretty close.

I use a photo grading book when I try to greater raw corn.
Usually I'm fairly close but quite often I'm not.
It's kind of fun trying to greater corn Sunday than see what you get packed though.🙃

Thanks for your comment, I've been holding on to this coins for a while just waiting for the time to cement.

Probably about right in grade, (though as one dealer usually tells me on his results "robbed again"), looks like you paid a lot for grading if they all went through regular or standard service.

The gold coins went through on their goal corn fees and the other 10 went through on economy if I remember right. The gold coins were $35 a piece to be graded and the other ones were o $18/23 each to be graded.

    What's a "goal corn"? ;)

Your 1934 WQ is a medium motto coin, not a light motto coin.

Buying coins below thier value is not a bad thing
The seller sets the price, I just buy if I like the coin at their price. :)

A piece of advice- When submitting sub $300 coins, also write on the submission $300
When the gold is in the $3000 or less category, always write the value is $3000.

This will be helpful if you ever have to file an insurance claim.

may the fonz be with you...always...

Thanks, never looked at it that way. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I will do that in the future.

@Logger7 I stand corrected, You are correct. The images do appear when the certification number is entered.

Can't tell much about the coins in the images, but it appears you undervalued them when doing the submission.

$2700 seems undervalued for the coins given the run up in the gold. Other than that my thought is “ Coin graders got to eat too.”

Like the bunch, though very undervalued as Tom has said.

Aren't they improving their imaging with 100% availability in all submissions? All you have to do is plug in the cert. number.

Also recommend checking out Coinfacts on the PCGS website which has current auction records.
