Odd 1966 Penny
Well I know I have seen posts like this before, but this coin just looks off. I know it could be a magician coin or someone ground off the reverse, but I don't see any grinding marks on the reverse. The obverse rim is raise and thick, so much so that it covers up some of the "L" in Liberty and the tops of "In God We Trust" The only way I could see this coin coming from the mint like this is if two planchets entered the die press at the same time, which would mean the obverse is well struck, which I think this is. Of course I don't have a scale so I can't weigh the coin. Here are some photos.
Well let me know what you think. I really would like people that are familiar with errors to comment.
Thanks for looking

Damaged
You can get a digital scale with 0.01 gram precision for under $10.
It’s damaged outside of the Mint, when two planchets are struck together you do not get a rim that looks like the obverse of this coin.
Foreign substance?
