I thought this was interesting to look at, all the major Bowl Games. It would make sense to me to have them in the rest of the country, scattered about, but it'll never happen.

Weather is the driving factor. To play in the Midwest or North you would need domed stadiums.

That's always the excuse, but after all it is Football!!
Its not an excuse its just reality. Half the states up north dont even have a big program for a big stadium. No ones going to Maine or Vermont for a bowl game. Its hard enough getting players to stick around for a game in southern FL much less asking them to go play a game weeks later in Montana where it should just be a hunting trip not a football game
Wisconsin 2-6 against the SEC since 2007
'87 Sun Bowl nice & snowy in El Paso....
Map clearly shows why the southern teams have the advantage.
Just think of how many National Championships Ohio State and Michigan would have if the Rose Bowl was played in the big house.
Terry Bradshaw was AMAZING!!

Groce that Sun Bowl is usually anything but sunny, I remember my Canes were in that bowl some years ago and while it wasn't snowing on that particular day, it was about 35 degrees with a steady cold rain all game! Some reward for a having a decent season. So I just researched that Canes Sun Bowl game, and it was a loss to Washington State in 2015 in snow, for some reason I didn't recall the snow. I remember that cold rain! lol
hey Landry....here ya go...
Most bowls are more than just the games - they want a many day experience for fans, wandering the cities, out and about. Until the last maybe 20 years, they were all in the south - I could see more moving or spinning up in the north in larger cities following the Yankee model. Maybe Fenway, Wrigley, etc.

Which game do I attend?

While it is a fun idea having games in MLB stadiums, they end up being a disaster in most of them. The offenses have to both go the same direction all game because there isnt enough room for two full endzones. Theres just not enough room on the field in the majority of stadiums especially the historic ones you would want to do it in

Not only fan experience but what to do when you are in the city for the week. I recall a SB played in the Meadowlands. Fans were not happy not being able to play golf, go to the beach or just enjoy a drink or dinner trudging through snow in 28 degree weather. Didn’t go over very well
