2023 ¢1 VDB-V Variety?

I found this 2023 penny while checking my change today, and I noticed a little “V” besides the VDB. It looks a little different than the other VDB-V I found, but I think it might still be it. What do you think? 
I thought the general consensus was that these were die scratches, but this on looks more like die deterioration IMO.
