Did PCGS get this variety correct?

One of these is graded as a 1888 DDO FS-101, and the other was not given the variety. (charged me $9 instead of $18)
edited to add: These are 1888 Liberty Head Nickels.
Do these look the same?

Look pretty close to me.
They don't look the same. The hair above the ear is doubled differently between them, and the one on the left has slightly stronger doubling on the outside of the ear. Take a look at the dates to see if they're in slightly different positions. Of course, the CPG doesn't show what one is supposed to look like and doesn't cross-reference any other work.
Were these to cross my desk individually, I'd call them both FS-101. If I were to see them at the same time, I'd wonder what the heck I was supposed to do with the scant info in the CPG. There is little additional help here: http://libertynickels.org/variety.php?lnid=1124, but there is a picture. The text is verbatim what is in the CPG, making me think that this picture was posted because it fit the description, not because it was the coin used for the CPG listing. Given this picture, I would call the one on the right FS-101. There could be many DDOs for this date with doubling on the ear.
I have no idea what went through PCGS's attributer's mind when confronted with these.
