A Hobby Challenge to those here with Woodworking Skills - Christmas Related

Anyone here up to making their own Hobby Horse(s) to replicate a classic toy as Christmas gifts? This comes from postings on the Friday Photo Thread. In a sense it is "coin hobby related" as for many of us one of the major attractions of coin collecting is being able to hold a piece of history.

That photo is intriguing. It took me a while to figure out what the girl was holding, but I think it is a toy accordion. The Hobby Horse in the foreground is a classic. Anyone with good woodworking tools to include a jigsaw should be able to make a replica of the horse's head. Even the wooden wheel discs could be cut out on a jigsaw, not even requiring a lathe.

Anyone take the challenge?
Why can't I just buy one from Amazon?
As for the Christmas tree, was it illuminated by turning on the chandelier?

Certainly appears so. Love those baloney curls on the young lady. Peace Roy

As a child, my hobby horse did not have wheels. No, I'm not going to make one. I like the car behind the young boy!
A well to do family in the 1920's I assume
Why not ebay?
Paper money eventually returns to its intrinsic value. Zero. Voltaire. Ebay coinbowlllc
No reason, but they still make them and they are available (new) on Amazon. I don't need to make my own.
BITD, those two would of qualified as spoiled brats is my guess.
Hobby horse?
There's no longer a kid anywhere who wants one of those.
They might if there was an iphone mounted behind the horse's head. You know.... just like cars now have display screens.... gotta keep updated for the times!
Looks like that car behind the boy says Buick on it?
i like that petal car as well and other good stuff in there
I don't know. Have you ever seen the kids playing Quidditch.
