I was pleasantly surprised when this arrived today. I did not want to get my hopes to high only to be let down. This seems to happen alot to me.
Anyway this collection was built decades ago and all of the coins are dedinetly MS with some if not all gems.
Now I need to figure out all the keys.

If I had that short in my collection I would be tempted to hold onto it and make the effort to find and acquire the rest of the dates in the series (1916 - 1935).

Yea I wasn't sure how it was going to work out but they are super nice. Putting them under a light and seeing the luster is just amazing. The reverse just glows.

You might need to give them some acetone just because you never know what they came into contact with prior to your purchase.

I like the plastic to but I find it to cumbersome. I am not going to display something with this value in my house.
I just purchased a dansco 7161 with an extra blank page.
This way they can go in the safe.
I'm going to enjoy them for a while then have them slabbed and likely sell them to fund my Morgan collection. Right now I am really enjoying them. Much better than expected.

I don't think the coins have been touched since 1974 when they were put into the capital holder.
That's 49 years ago.
I wish I was alive then. Probably paid next to nothing for them.

@Morgan13, that’s quite a nice set of raw walkers you purchased and best of luck when you decide to get them graded. I bought the short set years ago from a dealer who put sets together for his grandchildren. The quality is similar to yours. Love the blue capital holders too.

That is a wonderful set. Congratulations. There look to be several gem examples and the 42-S appears to have good detail. Old sets in their Capital Holders are great.
