Draymond Green is an idiot

craig44craig44 Posts: 11,200 ✭✭✭✭✭

as if people didnt already know he was an idiot, he got ejected for the 3rd time last night for hitting a defender in the face and knocking him to the ground.

after his second ejection, he got a 5 game suspension. I think the NBA should throw the book at him. he is a long-time prior offender and he literally struck an opposing player in the face and knocked him down.

I think they ought to sit him for about 30 or more games without pay. the guy is a dirty player and a menace.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

Suspend him through the reg season and the playoffs. Otherwise it won't really harm his team...........

The guy should be playing in the NFL, perhaps MMA?

What really needs to happen is him to hit the wrong guy and said wrong guy shatters his face

should the coach / franchise bear any blame? As said, this has been an issue for years.

I agree. no matter how big and tough a guy thinks he is, there is always someone out there who is bigger and tougher. eventually, Draymond will encounter that guy.

Having Green as a key player on a team, year after year after year (with the team having a 9 year run like GS, with 4 titles and 6 finals appearances) would be exhausting for the other players, the coaches, management and ownership. At some point in time he will wear out his welcome at GS and be traded.

He will continue with his antics on his next team, or teams.

Eventually he will be out of the league.

Further, there will come a day when another player (perhaps a teammate or an opposing player) will snap and unleash on Green and give him a sound thrashing.

After his playing career is over, Green will get a gig on the sidelines as a game commentator (i.e. TNT). Depending on whether he can adapt or not to a new arena, he may become wildly popular, or he may flame out (if the public and his new employer sour on him).

Draymond Green is without question one of the better defenders in recent NBA history, but the guy is an uncontrollable animal. It would be fitting for someone to just light him up but the rest of the NBA shows restraint. I have watched his antics for close to a decade now and it was old then, it's old now. I can't figure out why the NBA tolerates him, why the Golden State Warriors have tolerated him and why his teammates put up with his crap.

I have never paid to watch any boxing match, no matter how big, but I pay to see the video where Draymond Green gets knocked out in an NBA game, right to the deck like a sack-of-potatoes.

In reality, I think that's a gutless sucker punch, exactly what Green intended.

He has so much money this is just a vacation for him.

It won't change his behavior, if I'm that guy that got sucker punched I'm playing it out as it wasn't intentional and it was in the heat of the play and waiting until next season when it's all forgotten about and the first chance I get I'm swinging from my ankle and dropping the hardest punch square in his face.

Look at the tape. A blind man could see it was 100% intentional. The punk glances up at the player's face for the right direction, and then throws the punch. It was not an unintentional flailing of the arms.

Considering his past history, he should be barred from the league - permanently!

that is actually a pretty good idea. If he did retaliate, I wouldnt blame him one bit. The fans would probably love to see it.

I would have loved to see him try to pull something like that against the 1980s Pistons.

Weren't a lot people on here defending Green after he sucker punched Jordan Poole? This is just a continuation of his terrible behavior and it will only get worse as he ages and loses even more athleticism.

I think the Warriors won despite Green rather than because of him. He can't shoot and is an average passer. He lucked into playing with two of the greatest shooters of all time, one of whom changed the NBA more than any player since Jordan (Curry). His teammates made him appear to be much more capable than he actually is. He does play good defense but is overrated on the defensive side of the ball IMO.

I didn't realize the NBA was still in business until reading this thread. Didn't they close well over 20 years ago?

I thought so-called live images on the TV screen were just skillfully photoshopped from old games. Substituting the old players faces with some new faces. For example this Green fella was actually from a game with Kermit Washington.

The NBA could sit this fool for half the season and Green will probably not show any remorse while venting daily on his podcast until he can get back out there.
There's alot of talk that Green will eventually get added to the TnT crew of Shaq,Barkley,Kenny Smith & Ernie Johnson and its only a formality put off until he decides to retire.

    Here's Draymond's highlight reel.

Sure, but the guy that got sucker punched was Nurkic - him swinging a sucker punch would be like a fly colliding with a leaf............... Best to lay low in his case.

If the NBA does not take a very major stand on this then the NBA may become like the NHL and teams will hire big strong goons to disrupt other teams. Like the old days of the NBA which they fought so hard to clean up.

It didn't happen when Rodman played and it won't happen now, those two are exceptions.

The NBA has gotten very soft calling so many little touch fouls. That is why I am shocked that Green has not been booted for a very long sentence. Maybe if he was not on the Warriors he would have been booted for 6 months or longer.
