Welcome back, Ben......so glad to see an old friend come back to the forum.

I just checked my PM's and saw a message about the reflective coin templates for PhotoShop.....remember those?

    That was back in 2009!!!!!

Per one of those old PM's, are you still a collector of Classic Half Eagles?

Unfortunately I sold my Classic Half eagles a few years ago to help get my retirement savings back on track. But I think I accomplished what I wanted and almost finished all the McCloskey Varieties .

I am now very slowly working on the HM varieties for Classic Quarter Eagles.

Oh and yeah, I remember the Reflective templates, I'm just now getting back into photographing and have forgotten how to do everything.

Those templates were started by Space Monkey, is he still around?

    He's been long gone.

I've forgotten how to make those reflective/reflection coin images also.

I found template #3 for old time sake.

Yeah, I think I just burnt out.....a friend talked me back and now I'm addicted again. I remember your Matte Proof fascination from back then.....seems you are still in it for the long haul. Beautiful set.

Welcome back. If I were gone for 15 years, I would be dead.

LOL, Time flies......I really had no idea it had been so long. Did not realize till I tried looking up dates of purchase on what few coins I have left. Dates older than my 23 year old kid.

lol, yeah I'd imagine adding a dozen years to everyone I ever knew would make many a bit older........hopefully time has treated everyone well. Shoot, I remember when you were first trying to figure out how to use a camera. Seem like it was yesterday.

Unfortunately no......House poor (re-built home in SF bay area and well enough said) and I could never get my kids interested in collecting. Well not totally true, My oldest son has a fascination with getting old computers up and running and then letting them sit around to collect dust.

I ended up selling most of my main collection so I'm pretty much starting over.....but will be doing coin shows on the side with a friend to help fund everything.

This go around will be slow and steady as to try not to burn out.

Thanks....I've reverse engineered a basic template using GIMP for now. The templates we fun but I think I'm gonna keep it simple for now and fill the whole template with coin and no mirror image this go around.

Many of us are still here, but in the interim there have been a few who have sadly passed away. If you haven't been here since 2008 then you may not know that SeaEagleCoins, Bear, Broadstruck, Russ, silvereagles92 and RickO have all passed away. There have been others, as well, but you may recall these folks.

OMG, yes I recall every single one. That is so sad. People never seem to age in this digital world. It's sometimes so hard to remember people age on the other side of these pixels.

    Thanks for letting me know.
