I see that the 1842-O Half Dollar has numerous die varieties.

Could one of you knowlegeable numismatists please tell me what variety this half dollar is? :)

Based on the mintmark location, it looks like an early die state WB-8 1842-O "Medium Date" or "Reverse of 42." It's regarded as an R3, with an estimated 200-500 examples still around.

Edited to add it is also referred to as "Large Date, Large Letters" (See Manifest Destiny above) or "Medium Date, Large Letters." The Redbook simply calls this a "1842-O Medium date."
