Confederate $10 Note

This is my Dad's, he bought it in 1987 or 1988 , and he is wondering if it is real. He says that it was sold as being real.

Thank you so much! My Dad will be pleased. Any idea what it is worth?

The CSA $10 is an extremely popular note and readily available in every grade. You can buy a graded version of this note in AU (almost uncirculated) for under $75. I’d guess somewhere in the $25-$40 range.

As few pieces as I have, I actually have one as well!
Mine was very inexpensive, like just over $100. $105 or $110 I forget exactly…

Your dad’s note looks genuine to me as well. 👍

Would there be any premium for an uncirculated pair of this note, with sequential (hand-written) serial numbers ?

It appears to be genuine, albeit quite faded. I checked the Crutch Williams Bogus CSA website for your serial number, and it wasn’t listed, which is a good sign. http://www.crutchwilliams.com/BogusCSA_RoTx.html

    Here’s mine…

Thanks for the site info, appreciate it. :)

@CRHer700, your note is absolutely genuine as others have said. And @dcarr, yes- I do believe today, that some collectors would give a small premium to consecutive serial numbers. Here’s my uncirculated $10 1864 series although not graded.

Yours is in a lot better condition than my dad’s!

@CRHer700, thanks. Purchased it along with a few more back in the mid nineties when they were “cheap”, around 20 bucks!
