Pocket change?

I posted this on another site , but thought I would post here too. Some moron on MSN Edge has an article this morning touting coin collecting. He does a spiel on finding rare coins in your pocket change and then lists 5 coins you might find. the first coin is a 1913 Liberty nickel and the second one is a Fugio cent. no wonder people think Walmart parking lot coins will make them rich. What an idiot. James

I was just at Walmart the other day and didn't find a single '78-S Seated Half. Maybe next time.

What was your reason for posting it here? To let forum members know not to bother to look for those coins?😉

The author should have said which one of these ‘jewels’ he has actually found.

One way I do see in finding something nice is if a ‘collector’ accidentally dropped a ‘pocket piece.’ Occasionally I carry a ‘93-O HE that’s been cleaned and has some rim bumps but I’m pretty careful with it. It would make a nice little find for someone, though.😂
Takes a sense of humor, Also gives a little insight to how hobby is perceived. Don't bother reading if you don't get it. James

Just a way to add "Likes" to his account.
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
I didn't even think of this but my oldest daughter told me she thought it sounded like it was an article written by AI. Sure enough, I checked who posted the article and it turned out to be a company named Buzzfeed that fired it's entire writing staff and has used AI to write all it's articles. I will admit. I am happier to find out it is just poor computer performance and that there is not some individual out there who thinks people are getting coins from the 1700's in there change jars. Does make me wonder what kind of reputation, and considered value coin collecting may get with enough skewed articles. james
Wonder when AI responses to threads will begin.
Why a scoundrel posts it is enough to ponder.
To prepare us for the coming barrage of pocket change.
What was your reason for questioning his reason ? To let forum members know they can look to you for those coins ?
I surrender.
Unfortunately, such barrages have already been with us, off and on, for years.

The biggest misconception is that you can hoard coins and then one they they'll become valuable.
Okay, I meant a bubble.
