I am attempting to inventory my Grandfather's foreign coins. What does Mwc #9 mean on the coin pictured.
Thanks for your help

My assumption would be "Modern World Coins" - the Yeoman catalogue, in other words. My very battered 1980s edition of Yeoman lists this coin as "8b(9)".
The 50 prutah comes in two varieties: cupronickel (Y#8) and plated steel (Y#8b/9), If your coin sticks to a magnet, then it's Y#9.

Value of coin is written on holder, $.50 in the 1970s ish. Not a lot more today.

Thanks for all the input. Now how do I sell these foreign coins? I have many countries and most are very old, not modern coins.
Well, the Buy, Sell, and Trade World Coins forum here is a good place- there are no fees. You'll get more exposure somewhere like eBay, of course, but with more hassle.
