Every now and then, I will pick up some Canadian "junk silver".

    Yes, and each "face dollar", be it 50 cent pieces or quarters, etc of their .800 silver, contains 0.6 tryo oz Ag. With silver at $23.80 US, that's $14.30 US or $19.30 Cdn at 1.35. So each face dollar is a little less than $20 scrap, not taking into account coin wear, which lessens the amount of Ag in the coins. I love scrap silver, both US and Canada. Nice haul!

    Yes, and each face dollar contains .6 troy oz of Ag, if it's after 1920. With Ag at $24 US, then each face dollar is worth about $14.40 US or $19.40 Cdn. You need a strong box to put that all in.
