Had a little over an hour to spend at the show today.
Spent 20 minutes in line at registration.
Spent 40 minutes in line at PCGS submitting 1 coin. I quickly walked the bourse - mostly dealer to dealer tables, a minority of people with coins in cases. Chatted briefly with JD and Numismatic Americana.
Watched incredulously as 1 guy tied up a spot at submissions with rolls of coins, occasionally spiffing up a coin with a "tissue" - he was there when we arrived and left, still filling out submission forms.
Likely my last PCGS Members show.
"My friends who see my collection sometimes ask what something costs. I tell them and they are in awe at my stupidity." (Baccaruda, 12/03).I find it hard to believe that he (Trump) rushed to some hotel to meet girls of loose morals, although ours are undoubtedly the best in the world. (Putin 1/17) Gone but not forgotten. IGWT, Speedy, Bear, BigE, HokieFore, John Burns, Russ, TahoeDale, Dahlonega, Astrorat, Stewart Blay, Oldhoopster, Broadstruck, Ricko, Big Moose.

Ouch. Good luck to the goofball spiffing up his coins. Thanks for the report... plenty of other things to do in Vegas I suppose.

I've loved going to these shows, an excuse for a Vegas trip. The food served has been worthy.

My experience was much different. It was my first members only show for me. Arrived about 1 hour after opening; waited 15 minutes for registration and another 15 minutes for coin submission. Took me longer to fill out the two forms than it did to register and submit.
I would say that the ratio of Dealer to Wholesaler Only was 50/50. Not as much variety as I was hoping for but cool coins nonetheless. Great time talking to Gary, 3centnickel.com while waiting in line to drop off and talking to dealers like Ben at Old Pueblo Coin and Bonnie at Sabel Rarities. Both had really nice coins for sale.
Haven't partaken in the free food yet but looked like a nice spread including ice cream.

I agree with Tramp that this was an enjoyable show. Not sure what enticed you to arrive exactly at opening on Wednesday, but clearly it was just bad timing. Show grading was a little tight, but that is the norm for the December members show. It will get better in 4 weeks at FUN.
