UFC: 2010 Series 4 Blaster lot rip. Including fantastic legit mockery of Canada

A black friday lot purchase of 8 from blowout. 29 bucks a box. Probably from cases where, when one buys a case, and opens, the hit boxes are in the same place every time. Soo.. if you buy two cases, you can pull the hit boxes from the 2nd case, and then sell the rest of the junk blasters.

Anyway, check out the Canadian disclaimer. Gotta love it !!!! hahahahahaha

Hey Canada, it's saying something. What it's saying , I don't know, but would pay attention. (troooooodoh)

2010 Series 4 was not a popular release... and Topps had a huge production run. The GSP and Kimbo are not bad for retail.

I remember pre-covid, the Series 4 hobby boxes were around $40.00... those were a fun rip.

I actually bought a Main Event box that had already been opened but the cards were put right back into their wrappers and were stored there ever since 2010.

I know, I know, I was really dancing with the devil. But it actually all worked out as because the air had access to the cards there was zero bricking and every card was in Mint+ condition. It even still had its hit -- an Anderson Silva mat relic. I was thrill with the purchase. Wish I could have bought 5 more.

Were the Round 4 cards bricked at all?

Agreed on the product. Two more opened and just the same old crap by this time. Will post if anything rare, else, toast.
Not bricked though, the cards were loose.

I don’t follow UFC as closely as you do, but I like it. I gotta think the couture used relic is a good hit.

    Yaz Master Set
    #1 Gino Cappelletti master set
    #1 John Hannah master set

Also collecting Andre Tippett, Patriots Greats' RCs, Dwight Evans, 1964 Venezuelan Topps, 1974 Topps Red Sox

  • well. a raw Couture relic sold on ebay for 2 bucks a while back :) Score !!! :)

UFC Blasters are typically meh. Series 4 was an interesting release... it was a huge production run for the amount of collectors at the time and it was not as well received as Rd 1 & 2. Series 4 hobby box prices crashed for years but there were some interesting sets in the release such as the first 'thoughts from the boss' dual auto set with Dana's and another fighter's auto and Champion book cards.

This is the set I built from that release... the first tale of the tape set featuring fight use hand tape relics. The 4 different tale of the tape sets relic sets released between 2010-11 are the only UFC sets with fight worn relics.

Ouch! See, I obviously don’t know what I’m talking about, just seemed like a cool card to me.

You do have the greatest early UFC collection that I know of !!!

What was up with those Tale of the Tape inserts ??? Never seen one before this.

Topps released a lot of cool early cards/sets that fly under the radar. Think there were 4 sets with fight worn tape released between 2010-11. Here is the dual tape set from 2011 Moment of Truth.

Surprised Topps or Panini had not made more... wouldn't seem hard to acquire
