I'm sure this question has already been answered on this forum, but I probably missed that conversation.
If a coin gets graded by CACG, does it get an automatic sticker?
Sincerely,
Confused.
Thank you all.

Comment removed, I was blathering about CAC stickering only.

No. Their position is that their grading service is equivalent to a sticker. They only sticker coins from NGC and PCGS.
I don't want to put words in JA's mouth, but my understanding is that the sticker is supposed to evidence that a coin is solid for the grade. Since they are now the ones assigning the grade, it stands to reason that if a coin is not solid for the grade, it simply will not receive that grade, and will be solid for the grade below. As a result, every CACG coin is, by definition, solid for the grade. I hope someone corrects me if I got anything wrong.
No automatic sticker. No sticker at all. The slab IS the sticker. As evidenced by the picture of the sticker right on the slab.
No, but you can send them to Stacks in Costa Mesa, CA if you’re jonesing for stickers.
Nothing is as expensive as free money.
It would be interesting if you sent a cacg coin back in for regrade/reconsideration (or whatever that company calls it) and it upgrades. They should give the option of gold stickering the current cacg holder, or cracking out and upgrading the label.
What trophy or sticker do u get if it’s lost in the mail?
Have always wondered who is the high spender on the sticker game.
No need to be confused. CAC will not sticker a CACG slab because the CACG grade is deemed "solid for the grade" by default. If the CACG slab has a + then the coin is deemed high end for the grade.
Gold stickers could never be applied since that (hypothetical) coin would already be at the next higher grade in the CACG slab.
That would be redundant. Under what scenario do you think a CACG coin wouldn't qualify for a sticker?
