1916 S Mercury Dime RPM? Help please!!!!!

Comments

  • Hi, assuming that this is a mint error, should I send it in to get it certified or sell it raw?

A RPM is not a mint error, it is a Variety.
What you have is not a RPM, it is just worn and probably damaged.
Also those large photos are too pixilated to be of any use.

    Remember !
Turn off your radio, sweeper or intercom's when taking photo's.
DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU ! (the above kalidascope images)

  • What is this?

    Welcome to the forum! :)

Your first 3 photos are good, the rest of them are of little use.
I'm not saying this to be hard on you. ;)

Let's start with what you have.
It appears to be a well circulated dime that may have a slight amount of machine doubling on the left side of the S.
The coin is not an error/variety and is not worth the cost of grading.

Now for what you think you have.
I am assuming since you attached the other photos you are trying to show us where you think there is an S on the end of the olive branch.
Sorry but that's not an S or a misplaced mint mark.

It helps if you give us an idea of exactly what you are seeing so we don't have to guess. ;)

Oh, and don't waste time trying to figure out what emeraldATV is trying to say, he doesn't know either. :D
