Current PCGS Turnaround Time

I sent them three Morgan silver dollars for "regular" grading with vouchers. They posted as "Received" on 9/27. They went to "Shipped" status yesterday on 11/28 and started their journey back to me. Just in case anyone was curious.

They claim 40 business days for Regular Service, looks like they went over by a few days on quick look.

I counted 44 business days. If they were closed on Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Black Friday, that would put them dead nuts at 40.

    Probably better than NGC.

I think "estimate" is more accurate and fair than "claim", which has a negative connotation.

You're wordsmithing skills are superior to mine for sure.

I wouldn’t be so sure about that - I don’t think I’ve ever used “wordsmithing” in a sentence, until now.😉

Are you happy with your grades and are True Views available yet?

PCGS might be speeding up. I sent 10 regular under the quarterly special, they received them on 10/26 and today (11/29) they moved to encapsulation.

My three were crossovers. The two that ANACS had graded XF40 and AU50 crossed over exactly as graded. The third was an NGC graded XF40 that dropped to VF35. I really wanted them all in PCGS holders, so I set my bar at VF35 on all three.

My order was marked shipped and the next morning my certifications worked and the TrueViews were up.

I "think" mine went into encapsulation on 11/7 and were out the door exactly three weeks later.

today 11/30 moved to Quality Assurance :)
my submission might be closer to 1 week than 3 encapsulation to delivered

.... I wonder if cracking out of competitors slabs adds a few days?

    Received 10/4

Today is the 45 day anniversary, which is supposed to be the day they finish. Hopefully I’ll see that grades are ready by COB.

Edit: they’ve been in QC for around 10 business days.

    BHNC #248 … 130 and counting.
