eBay sellers leaving money on the table

Could someone tell me why when listing an item for sale on eBay you wouldn’t list the variety/error in the title and not even in the description?
I would think by mentioning it in the title would mean more people would look at it and have a greater chance for a higher sell.
Case in point.

Yes, the high starting bid suggests he knew it was the 1935 DDR,
so I agree it's strange he did not put that in the title or description.

That’s strange, he priced it well above an ordinary one but under the variety price. There are some odd listings there, many NICELY CIRCULATED and NEARLY UNCIRCULATED raw coins, some which are clearly NOT. .

When APMEX does that (and they do) I wonder if they're gonna pull the ol' switcheroo. I tell them about this perception/opportunity for crooked dealings, but they do nothing about it.

your case in point is a selling group that also sells in 'live' auctions on Hibid/Proxibid/Liveauctioneers/Invaluable/AuctionZip. They do not have reserves but buy back to their acceptable sale price in these 'live' auctions. The eBay auctions start at their minimum and they rotate unsold between eBay and their 'live' auctions.

some of their coins are problem coins, as this buffalo nickel looks to be.
