Round Tripping

Many of us have sold coins we wished we had back. Sometimes good fortune shines down on us & we get that chance. Post your favorite “comebacks” here. I’ll start with this one. It’s actually a one sided proof (die pair PR3). The reverse is the PR side with the heavy striations. VERY COOL piece!

This one was a great comeback. Sold to a collector, I noticed it had been resold to another collector. Gone forever? I thought so. But my coin hunter friend shows up @ this years Money Show with his box of coins for me to look at & there it was. Round trip complete for this tough, beautiful 5* variety.

I sold the coin below but later noticed it in a SB auction upgraded to a 66RD. Had to get it back!

Last one. Todays is actually a double round trip with a buy, sell, buy & sell. She’s a beauty & a 5* rarity that’s very popular among IHC collectors - the 1894/1894 Doubled Date.

This would have to my favorite. Sold to my good friend Vern, who kindly sold it back to me in 2021.
