PS: The deffinition for Flat field doubling
This coin exhibits dual images as a result of having its machine doubled image flattened by the second strike of a proof coin. This is a very common phenomenon on proof coins from 1950-1974.

Here is a newly graded toned 1967 SMS Quarter.

"In God We Trust" on this quarter appears to have flat field doubling that is very pronounced.

Fascinating coin. Sorry I do not recall well who told me about combination. I remember firs Herb brink me this FFD as per his assigment. Me I recall to told him : OK to long name , this it is Gost Doubling. Then I find is a strange kind.

You has what who told me about: Herb, Ken or Mike diamond that on double strike this could be toghether with MD. First strike MD then second FFD (flat field doubling)

PS: This it is the most rare form of doubling in high denominations.
