With the new owner do you think the Whitman show will stay in Baltimore or move?

Virginia Beach looks very promising!

Stay in Baltimore

Ditto. VB will knock many of us out and B-more sure a LOT closer to many urban areas and centers of population.
Well, just Love coins, period.
Readers Digest Condensed version-
Baltimore is a National show on the East Coast- there is good airport and even Union Station for those traveling by train for those unable to drive. There are decent hotels within walking distance of the convention to accommodate Dealers and collectors. Travel is a significant consideration and there is a timing factor in terms of going from point A to point B.
The convention hall is large and the venue serves the purpose- the bourse is roomy and there is plenty of separate space especially for auction previews and meetings for those numismatic organizations that use a large show to schedule meetings.
There really is no compelling reason to change the venue

Safety? Are there any dealers or collectors that won’t go to Baltimore?

Apparently not enough, since the shows still do very well, and most of the major players strap on their body armor and show up.
By far, the best place for a coin show is Orlando, and someone already has that covered. Twice per year.
Beyond that, everything is a series of compromises involving cost, access to a major airport, sales taxes, real or perceived safety, etc. And the fact that a lot of attractive locations just don't want us, because we aren't big enough and don't spend enough to justify tying up valuable convention space.
Throw that all into the hopper, and Baltimore doesn't look that bad. Which is why they commit to 3 shows per year there. When the big money people who matter stop going, they'll have to reassess. In the meantime, the rest of us can either go or stay home. Whitman seems to be doing fine either way.
Oh, the drama.

Not meant to be dramatic. Meant to be a sarcastic response to the safety concern.
Yes, the area around the convention center has gone way downhill since before the pandemic. Primarily due to political issues involving policing in Baltimore, and the utter collapse of Inner Harbor as a tourist attraction.
It is still far from a war zone, and does not keep most of the people who matter from the show. THAT was my only point.
I don’t find Baltimore to be unsafe, and certainly enjoy nice long walks in and around the inner harbor.
That said I know how to dress and walk in a big city without attracting any attention.
