I tried to thin the herd, but I failed miserably

Have you found it quite hard to do, practically impossible. Each of a special meaning and reason for being in my collection at this time. But man I wish I could finally part with some to raise some money to buy other coins. What a dilemma.
I forgot, the main purpose was to conduct a remodel of one bathroom and add another to the house.

Haha, I am in what I term the amassing phase. I consult my lists, I recognize the duplicity, yet I continue to ignore it. I tell myself I’ll go through and thin the redundancies later, fully recognizing that is a hollow aspiration.
Herd.
I work extra hours and weekends to fund my "addiction". I'm winding down now and starting to come back to my senses. I've been down this road before. Sports cars, boats, you name it. Collecting coins can be like a drug. Sometimes I say to myself "why not sell all of them off and keep like 5 or 6 of the best and be done".

After all a Morgan is a Morgan right
Everything in moderation they say.
If I had that tattooed to the back of my hand I would be the biggest hypocrite of them all.

I recently set up at a local show and sold off a bunch of excess after thinking about it for a few years. It was painful for sure to see some of them go, many folks snatched up coins I've held on to for ten plus years and didn't even haggle on the prices... I was sad about a lot of sales at the time but now that it's done, I feel pretty good about it. I picked up 3 nice "new" coins for my collection and probably sold 60-75 individual items.
There's no way I would have ever bothered to photograph them all, ebay or BST, mail & package them off.

How large was the show, and what was the cost of your table(s)? I’ve been wondering about doing something like that.
I knew it would happen.
I bought this coin. I like it but it just doesn't do it for me. If I could get out of it what I out into it I would be happy. It's an awesome coin.

Besides this thread is useless without a coin.
