A good example of "lathe lines" on a medal.

I noticed this while I was browsing some auction lots at Stack's and thought it was unusual to see it on such a large medal. I've linked the auction lot itself where the images can be enlarged for a better view. This must have been an early strike of this medal because the circular lines are clearly visible on both the obverse and reverse.
