TSNS Show Report.

The Tennessee State Numismatic Society holds a show each March and November at the Camp Jordan Arena in Chattanooga (East Ridge) located only one mile from the Georgia state line. There is plenty of free parking.
I left home just after daylight. Because of traffic jams, caused by road construction, I did not arrive at the show until 30 minutes after opening time. The parking lot had the most cars in it that I have ever seen. I had to park farther away than ever.
The show had a buzz and was more crowded than I have seen in a long time. I had brought two coins to sell to a certain dealer. I had forgot about the Baltimore show being held at the same time. He was at the Baltimore show. Darn.
There was a great amount of silver at the show. There were Eagles, rounds, one-ounce bars, circ Silver Dollars and more 100 -ounce bars than I have ever seen at a show. Eagles were priced at $29, Englehard bars were $28, circ Morgans were $30 and circ. Peace were $28. I saw one dealer hand a customer his silver (type unknown) purchase in a canvas bag that was about one third full.
Most dealers only had raw coins. I only collect coins in PCGS holders. There was only one dealer that had mostly PCGS slabs, but most of his coins were high grade Unc. and Proof coins. I did not see a single coin that I needed.

Thanks for posting your show report.
Sounds like you had a decent experience overall.

One of the regular dealers at our monthly show was absent today, as he made the trip up to the Tennessee show. I’ll get his take when I see him next month.
And like you I struck out as well; I was thinking I was “one of those tire kickers” that searches every table but doesn’t spend any money….but I’m on good terms with most of them and enjoy chatting about the market, etc.

Successful BST transactions with 171 members.
