Should The NFL Adopt A Bye Week Where All The Teams Are Off At The Same Time?

Would not this be more fair across the board? All teams have equal rest. Some bye weeks seem too early in the season. Granted the NFL wants to keep the flow of action consistent on a weekly basis. But the other 3 main sports have all their teams break at the same time via their All-Star breaks.

I don't that that would happen and not for stopping the flow of consistent action. The NFL wants to keep the "flow of money" going on a weekly basis. Maybe limiting the bye weeks to say 3 weeks somewhere around week 9 through 11 may be a better option?

It would make sense but like Landry says it would cut into the profit

The NFL is Money first, everything else second

Wonder if the earlier or later season bye week has the advantage. I would prefer later for the rest nearer the playoffs if I was playoff bound.

The week itself doesnt matter as much as the situation. If you were going to play a Thursday night game a bye week the week before would be nice so its not a short week, or if you have to play in London or Germany a bye the week after to recover from the travel would be nice. Or before or after what you know would be a hard game.

You definitely dont want that first set or last set of bye weeks though. That week 11 range is where you want to be just from the season standpoint.
