Peanut butter

I was removing a sticker from this slab that covered 98 percent of the hologram. It was one of the super stuck stickers that even when removed leaves heavy residue that you can hardly see through. I was thinking of using Goo gone, but thought it may damage the slab or hologram. Then a thought popped in my head. My mom used to use peanut butter to remove bubble gum from my sisters hair so she wouldn't have to chop her hair off.
It worked great. Heres the after pic. Looks like new like there was no sticker residue.

Nice
I found a couple of older slabs that had sticky sticker residue and cleaned them up just now.

It is the oil in the peanut butter that dissolves the goo.
You can also use nose grease or vegetable oil.
Clean with 99% alcohol.
Interesting. 👍

What kind of jelly? 🤔
I've also heard that peanut butter can be used as shaving cream. Seems it would gum up the razor, though.
Jelly is for newbies. FLUFFERNUTTER for the win.

I'm thinking of a song done in the rap world, it was pump up the jam, fwiw
NO! NO! NO! NO!
Hey guys, Just my opinion and I could be wrong if I'm not talking about the same thing @gumby1234 is talking about.
If I am wrong, I'm just the messenger. Don't shoot! 😂 And if it works for you and @gumby1234, GREAT!!
No matter what you think, peanut butter is coarse. NO/ZERO chemicals, again (IMO) on that plastic slab. All I have ever used to removing any stickers with heavy residue is a hair dryer. It softens the sticker, residue and it comes off in one easy piece, every time. However, you much use common sense when using a hair dryer and NOT hold the dryer on the slab long enough to damage it.

Just to be perfectly clear, you're referring to nose grease which is on the OUTSIDE of the nose correct?

I've seen both dealers and collectors rub the side of their nose to pick up skin oil on their thumb and then gently rub the old glue from the sticker until it dissolves and comes off. They then use a tissue, handkerchief, or their shirt to clean up any residual oil from the slab. It works.

JIF.
Gotta use creamy, chunky PB would scratch the slab.
@Oakstar I don't know what kind of peanut butter you get, but mine is very smooth and creamy.

@gumby1234 - Let me ask you. Peanut butter itself leaves an oily greasy residue. What did you wipe that off with?

A bit of rubbing alcohol on some tissue. Looks like new.
