I am not interested at all and I wasn't interested in Series 1 or Series 2 but they both sold out instantly so obviously there are people interested in buying.😎

Oh boy! $150 for a coin in a slab, and $150 for a very special label. Is there an order limit? Sounds like a REALLY great deal. 🤣

    I wouldn’t touch that with a 70 foot pole. :#

Type collector, mainly into Seated. -formerly Ownerofawheatiehorde. Good BST transactions with: mirabela, OKCC, MICHAELDIXON, Gerard

  • “ a thrilling new way to collect rare certified coins! “
I take umbrage with use of thrilling here and leave with one solid harumph.

Funny how emotional people get over something like this. If you don't like it, don't buy it. 😂🤣

I think they've "jumped the shark" with this offering. You already know what coin (current RP Morgan or Peace) will be in the pack and the only variable is the label. :#

And all for a very premium price. :/

That's what all 3 of their offerings have been. They are selling the "rare label".

I'm not sure how "emotional" anyone is getting (other than you getting upset or annoyed whenever any of your troll threads generate negative reactions), but I think it's totally legitimate for people to make negative comments over things they don't like, as opposed to just saying nothing and ceding control of the conversation to you and other cheerleaders or promoters.

I can both not buy it AND post about why I think others should not buy it as well. 😂🤣

Actually both VB and Ultra Breaks are a lot more exciting than attending a coin show. 😉

Oh Dan.....love your enthusiasm! I took my wife to Florida for the FUN show. She refused to attend and spent the day in the sunshine while I walked the show.

That afternoon we met up at a bar and she told me how the bartender (female) and her were talking about all the old guys who go to those stupid boring coin shows! 😂🤣

YMMV of course, but I have a great time at coin shows and I think the big shows are very exciting. I understand that its not a universal feeling, however.

Going to a coin show and purchasing requires skill and wherewithal to pick up coins with value and future potential.
Opening up Ultra Breaks requires nothing but the ability to open up the packaging.

Kind of like horse races versus casino slot machines.

Gotta go with dubya on this one.. I can handle about 1 coinshow per every couple years.
At our local, I talk with Steve Album for a bit, Don Rinkor for awhile. After that, the get me the hell outa here feeling kicks in big time.
Don't know how I'd explain myself if one of my friends saw me walking out...🤔

    Oh no! 😮

You stepped in it now! All the coin gurus that hate VB and Ultra Breaks because they think they are gambling vehicles destined to ruin the hobby will argue that buying a coin is NOT a form of gambling!
They view themselves as superior to the degenerate gamblers who have no self control or brains to make informed decisions. They cannot admit they are gamblers too. 🙄

Watch out for the pitch forks and torches! 😂🤣

I am of the strong opinion seasoned members will be able to differentiate between the two.

  • It's speculation not gambling. I know you are very defensive about this topic but come on.

The substantial truth doctrine is an important defense in defamation law that allows individuals to avoid liability if the gist of their statement was true.
