Should you use nice toned lower grade coin with TVor higher grade without TV on your set?

I want to know what your guys think of this question: Should you use nice toned lower grade coin with TV or higher grade without TV on your set? Right now I used higher grade but I am thinking to use lower grade but nice toned coin with TV for the set.

Is your set to show off eye appeal or grade? If it’s eye appeal only, pick what suits your tastes. If it’s grade, go for grade.
You can go with the higher grade, and then send in that coin for a TV. I believe they shoot the photos through the slab.

Well, the problem is the higher grade coin did not look good. I guess it is just a white coin. The toned coins looks good but it is lower grade.
Understood! I had thought the main reason not using the higher grade coin was due to it not having a True View, and not because it did not look good.
Perhaps use the lower grade coin for now, sell the white coin (IF it’s highly lustrous, there is a large but silent group that would like it), and then buy a more attractive toned coin in a higher grade that you’re financially comfortable with that has a True View?
Good luck.

I'm kinda in that situation right now. Had higher grade coins without the Trueview in my Registry set. Shipped out all 15 coins without the Trueview yesterday to be reholdered and Trueviewed.
If you’re not in competition for the top spot use the coin with the most eye appeal. One coin won’t make a huge impact on the scoring unless the set itself requires a small number of coins. If you are going for ranking either use the higher value coin. Meanwhile, be on the lookout for an upgrade with a higher graded, more eye appealing coin.

Are you trying to rank high in your set or make a set you like?
I think I like to rank high if I can.
then don't you want as many points (including possible bonus) for the spot as possible?
If I may, and please excuse me if i'm out of line, posting on this discussion. I'll explain why.

I feel some photo images posted on the forum, need it's intent, to be explained, and why.
I'm in now way competing. I'm just trying, (to myself first) when an image presents it's self, in any clarity, to find it's best
filter, angle or light source, to reach a conclusion, in the clarity of what I see, for it's best presentation of said image.
All raw images are saved and filed. Some images need no further adjustment as for your own grading knowledge.
Here is an example of what is described above. I'm sorry if some think of this as just "wrong".
"You must, trust me", when I "DECIPHER" (?) any image and I would never add, distort or create any image.
This ones cool and timely. This first photo is raw with only lighting help.

During this session, you could call it, the other photo's taken surrounding (with movement)
this image and finally produced this photo below.
And yes I'm showing off a bit. Nothing was added. Photo was cut out, with the edges softened, to blend into the plate.
Filters were used to enhance what I was trying to present, as I saw it, inside the obverse of the 1969 D (?) Lincoln Cent.
