CoinX show report.

I left home early Wednesday morning to drive to St. Charles, Missouri for the CoinX show. The show is held at the St. Charles Convention Center. The center is really nice with plenty of free parking.
When the show opened at 10 there were about 3 dozen people waiting to enter. This show has fewer large dealers than the MNS show in July at the same location. The first hour or so was very quiet. It did pick up a little later, but there was defiantly not a buzz.
I saw an 1812 Large Cent in NGC 58. I need one in a PCGS holder. I could not take a chance on crossing it at that price level. Saw another one in PCGS 55 , but it was priced too high.
I looked through hundreds of Illinois National Bank notes at the Scotsman table. They had just bought a collection. I could not find any that I needed.
On the way out of the show I bought a 2024 Red Book. It was the only thing I bought at the show.
Friday morning, I had breakfast with two cousins and then drove a couple of hours to visit with two other cousins.
Saturday morning, I drove home. I had a nice time.

Your discipline in not purchasing anything other than a Red Book is extraordinary.
Nice report and another example of a coin being passed on when an experienced collector deems the price is too high. Congratulations on maintaining your pricing stance.
Nice report, thank you

TYFS, I agree with the above points, I'll assume they did not have a bean, great discipline, glad you bought something at least![;) ;)](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)

Thanks for your comments.
Your self control is commendable. The next show is just around the corner.
