I am not a close follower of the NHL, but I heard on the Radio this morning that they are 9-0-1 so far this season. Is this somehow smoke and mirrors, or are they a juggernaut? They had a fantastic regular season last year and folded in the postseason. Do you think the same will happen this year?
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

The hockey team with the most regular season points doesn't win it all very often.
I would say the playoff team with the least injuries and a "hot" goalie is the favorite.
No Presidents' Trophy winner* with at least 119 points has ever won the Cup.
P. S. the trophy started getting awarded in 1986
Yes, Boston is for real. They are loaded.
I'd say for real, but don't get your/our hopes up. 🤷
After how their postseason ended after last season, they could post a similar regular season to 2022-23 and most fans will say let's wait and see how they do in the playoffs first.

Will see in the playoffs. Regular season yes they are for real.
NFL: Buffalo Bills & Green Bay Packers
5 of those 9 wins are against 3 teams that are tanking. 2 of those wins were 1 goal wins against teams who will definitely make the playoffs (Kings & Leafs). Then wins vs Detroit and Florida, who will be bubble playoff teams. But no, they're not loaded, except at goalie and defense. Tough to be loaded when the decomposing JVR is on your first line. They're worse than they were last year, when they were booted in the first round because there is no reliable scoring depth. Shutdown the 1st line, which is now without Bergeron, and stay out of the box so you neutralize Pasta and Beak Marchand and they're washed...like last year, the year before that, the year before that, and also, previous years, and given timespans before those years.
Playoffs is where a team us judged
So.for now the answer is no
They could be. The Bruins' record is an impressive 9-0-1.
However, the defending Stanley Cup Champions Vegas Golden Knights' record is a bit better at 10-0-1.
Thanks to Detroit, Boston is now 9-1-1. Thanks to Colorado, Vegas is now 11-0-1.
All teams with great records in the NHL have goaltenders with high save percentages. The Bruins and VGK have 4 of the top 10 goalies and that’s why they’re so good.
Boston crumbled last year because of injuries plus Montgomery didn’t rotate his goalies in the playoffs.
The Bruins are weaker at the forwards this year but great goaltending wins cups over forwards.
It will be another good year for Boston. They have the best goalie coach in the game.
Didn't this happen last year before they got bounced in the first round of the playoffs?
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
Yes, goalie coach was injured.
Good luck to the Bruins . I used to watch them back in the Orr and Esposito days but have not followed them since I moved to Albuquerque.
Yes
Their #1 goalie was hindered in his movements in the postseason.
He had a debilitating and painful injury which any hockey fan could see, let alone his own head coach.
Head coach wouldn’t use Swayman which IMO cost the team the Cup.
all the way back to the milbury years come to think of it
