How is this not counterfeiting?

I keep getting these ads on social media. This is at least deceptive advertising if not counterfeiting and fraud, IMO. Where will these “gold coins” finally end up and how much will they further erode the trust of new coin collectors?

The coins may be real....but for the price listed ain't no way you'll be getting them. Sounds more like a "take the money and run" kind of thing
Well if you are talking about Facebook about 90% of all ads are scams to steal your money or identity.
About 98% of all coin ads on Facebook are for counterfeit junk.
Don't buy anything off Facebook and use great caution clicking on any links.
Facebook is a very dirty site with tons of scams and malware.

Yes, at that price it's either a take-money-send-nothing scam, or a Chinese fake-seller.
If the latter, then I'm sure it's occurred to more than one of the people seeing these ads, and who realise that the coins must be fake, that they can make a killing by buying these cheap fakes and on-selling them for full price. And thus the counterfeiters have recruited an in-country accomplice.
I'm just glad that Facebook hasn't figured out I'm a coin collector yet. YouTube has, because I keep clicking on links that people post on the forums...
