RARE PCGS Samples, 1st 2003 Luncheon slab, GRADING SET/PHOTOGRADE COIN on ebay, ends today!
What are grading set coins?? They are the actual coins PCGS used as a standard when grading coins. They have a G followed by a 4 digit number on the label. They are VERY hard to find and seldom offered. PCGS now uses an online version (Photograde). On occasion, you will see a grading set coin in a slab that matches the current on-line Photograde coin, one of which is being offered this week!
Also offered are several rare samples and the 1st PCGS Luncheon slab from 2003! Check out my auctions - seller Lakesammman!
This is the only one I've seen - grade .00 like a sample, although graded VF30 in the cert verification!
On rare occasion, you'll come across a PCGS grading set coin that was included in the current Photograde on line, to include this coin!
