Cooper Flagg commits to Duke

I am not a big college fan, but Cooper is being projected as the top pick in the 2025 NBA draft. My interest lies in that Cooper grew up in a town about half an hour from me. We dont have a lot of top athletes from Maine, so the locals are pretty interested in this one.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

Yes, it has been pretty rough. small state, so many of us have connections even though we are not living in Lewiston. Thankfully I am 1 1/2 hours away. but, it turns out the guy grew up only 20 minutes away from me. We actually went to the same University during the same time frame, though I am older than him.

I have a friend that I played high school baseball with who lives about .2 of a mile from the Bowling Alley. He said there was a cruiser in their driveway all that night, then he had news vans parked in front of his place for 2 days following.

Maine has traditionally been a very safe state.

I've been looking forward to the day that this kid hits the NBA. He'll be one of the most well rounded players going into the draft in years and the only aspect of his game that needs to really be fine-tuned before getting there is, can his 3pt shot convert from a HS level to the NBA?
He's likely playing center now but he'll be more of a small/power forward once he's drafted.

edit: Cooper also has a twin brother, Ace, that is considered a possible draft prospect and he's been getting offers from some decent college programs. I'm not sure if he picked one yet or if he's even elligible at the moment.

Ace is not as good as cooper. I believe he also has some vision loss in one of his eyes. Not sure how that may hinder his draft prospects
